The Zhitong Finance App learned that Changfei Optical Fiber Cable (06869) rose by more than 6%. As of press release, it had risen 6.47% to HK$107, with a turnover of HK$1,911 billion.

According to the news, Haitong International released a research report saying that Changfei Optical Fiber Cable's third-quarter revenue increased by 139.4% year-on-year to 9.316 billion yuan, 10.6% higher than market expectations; net profit was 3.2 billion yuan, which is roughly in line with expectations. The bank raised the company's net profit forecast for 2026 to 2028 by 32%, 40% and 30% respectively to RMB 9.1 billion, RMB 13.1 billion and RMB 11.2 billion.

Haitong International believes that this increase in profit forecast mainly reflects an increase in the sales base based on the company's actual performance in the first nine months. The bank still expects profit to peak in 2027, then net profit may fall 14% in 2028 as spot prices fall and new production capacity is introduced one after another from the second half of 2027. Nomura, on the other hand, said that the steady growth of Changfei Optical Fiber Cable was mainly due to strong AIDC demand and supply shortages driven by sharp increases in optical fiber prices, as well as product portfolio improvements. It is expected that the company will continue to benefit from strong AIDC demand in the second half of 2026 and 2027.
