04:16 AM EST, 11/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's private sector expansion softened in October as an accelerated contraction in manufacturing countered an uptick in services activity growth, S&P Global said Wednesday. The S&P Global Italy Composite PMI Output Index stood at 50.8 in October, down from 51.0 in the previous month. On the services side, the PMI was 52, compared with the three-month low of 51.7 in September and the consensus estimate of 51.4.
