06:22 AM EST, 11/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research affirmed its investment case for Siemens Energy (ENR.F), citing positive read-across for its grid division after Hitachi Energy's recent capital markets day. The research firm said Wednesday that the event reinforced its view that the grid segment offers "high visibility" as well as long-term growth and margin expansion potential for the German energy technology group. "We see three key implications for ENR's results/targets next week (1) Hitachi's target supports above-consensus FY30 ENR Grid margin guidance (BofAe 25-27%), as ENR has historically given more aggressive and realistic guidance (last year, ENR guided to Grid margins +220-420bps over three years vs Hitachi Energy's guidance of +280-680bps over five years). (2) ENR management should be able to highlight post-2030 Grid growth visibility, supporting valuation and helping move the market debate away from the Gas OE peak order narrative. (3) Given this, share buybacks at the current share price are an attractive high-return investment for the company (we expect EUR4bn pa repurchases over FY27-30)," analysts wrote. The research firm forecasts a fiscal 2030 grid margin of 28%, versus consensus expectations of 24.4%, noting that even this projection could turn out to be "conservative." Against this backdrop, BofA reiterated the stock's buy rating and price objective of 250 euros.
