07:09 AM EST, 11/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Europa Oil & Gas (EOG.L) is appealing to the UK Secretary of State against the Local Planning Authority of North Yorkshire Council's decision to refuse planning permission for the Cloughton gas appraisal well. The British oil and gas explorer said Wednesday that the council's refusal contradicted the advice of its own planning officers and 13 independent experts, who backed the application.
