The 9th China International Import Expo opened in Shanghai today, and the 9th Hongqiao International Economic Forum opened at the same time. During the 9th CIIE, Shanghai relied on artificial intelligence to upgrade its meteorological support capabilities to provide more detailed weather forecasting services to exhibitors and the public. Starting November 3, the Shanghai Meteorological Administration will roll out 5 issues of the “China Expo Meteorological Service Report” on a daily basis through the “Shanghai Know the Weather” app, including hourly forecast information such as weather, temperature, relative humidity, wind direction, wind power, precipitation, cloud volume, and visibility within 24 hours. Among them, the “Rain Master” proximity forecast model, which has been upgraded to version 2.0, can issue rainfall warnings 25 to 55 minutes in advance. In addition, visitors planning to visit the CIIE venue can open the mobile phone location service and go to the CIIE special edition. They can also check the weather forecast for the departure and destination, as well as information such as live weather conditions along ground traffic routes.
