11:14 PM EST, 11/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Germany is set to buy 50% of German-French tank manufacturer KNDS, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing a document from the country's Finance Ministry. Citing two people familiar with the matter, the news outlet said the acquisition will be carried out at a valuation of 6.5 billion euros. Parties in the deal reportedly aim to sign the agreement within November and close the transaction in December. If pursued, Germany would be an equal co-owner of the business with France. The report added that both countries intend to each sell a 10% stake in KNDS gradually. KNDS and the Finance Ministry did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
