03:34 AM EST, 11/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Chesnara (CSN.L) agreed to buy insurance group MetLife's closed-book UK life insurance company, MetLife UK, according to a Friday filing. The European life and pensions consolidator said the consideration for the purchase is not expected to be material. The transaction is expected to add 18,000 customer policies with 1.7 billion pounds sterling of assets under administration to Chesnara's UK portfolio. The deal excludes the UK protection business of the seller. Completion is expected in the first half of 2027, subject to the approval of relevant regulators.
