10:48 AM EST, 11/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Snapchat will disable its "Find Friends" feature by default for child users in the UK, effective Friday, following pressure from the Office of Communications, or Ofcom. The Snap Inc. (SNAP.VI) social messaging platform will also implement age checks for all under-18s by the end of 2026, according to Ofcom, which called the anti-grooming measures "an important and welcome improvement in child online safety." Snap did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
