Smithfield Foods Posts Upbeat Q4 Earnings, Joins NetGear And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Tuesday

U.S. stocks were lower, with the Nasdaq Composite falling around 150 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Smithfield Foods Inc (NASDAQ:SFD) rose sharply during Monday's session after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.

Smithfield Foods reported quarterly earnings of 83 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 68 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $4.227 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $4.138 billion.

Smithfield Foods shares jumped 6.8% to $25.06 on Tuesday.

  • Venture Global Inc (NYSE:VG) gained 8.9% to $17.21.
  • Peabody Energy Corp (NYSE:BTU) surged 8.6% to $38.46.
  • indie Semiconductor Inc (NASDAQ:INDI) surged 8.5% to $2.82.
  • Merlin Inc (NASDAQ:MRLN) surged 8.5% to $10.59.
  • Tronox Holdings PLC (NYSE:TROX) gained 8.4% to $7.97.
  • Red Cat Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:RCAT) jumped 7.9% to $16.42.
  • WeRide Inc – ADR (NASDAQ:WRD) gained 6.8% to $7.40.
  • Satellogic Inc (NASDAQ:SATL) gained 6.4% to $5.28. Satellogic reached a new subcontract agreement with Innovative Defense Technologies to support U.S. Office of Naval Research.
  • Agencia Comercial Spirits Ltd (NASDAQ:AGCC) rose 5.4% to $16.02.
