12:01 AM EDT, 03/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- TIM's (TIT.MI) directors decided to terminate the group's master service agreement with Infrastrutture Wireless Italiane (INW.MI), d/b/a Inwit, citing the exercise of a change-of-control clause in 2022. The deal will be formally terminated at the expiration date of August 2030, according to a Sunday release. However, subject to verification of the change-of-control clause, the termination is expected to take effect on March 31, 2028, the agreement's original expiration date. The Italian telecommunications group is looking to negotiate a multi-year migration plan with Inwit before the deal expires. TIM's decision follows Swiss telecoms group Swisscom (SCMN.SW) unit Fastweb + Vodafone's termination of a similar agreement with Inwit, citing the tower infrastructure company's above-market tower costs.
